If anybody has been reading my blog (hah!), then you may have noticed that the older posts have disappeared.
This is no accident.
When I started this blog some three months ago, I did not really know what I wanted to do with it. I knew I wanted to write something, perhaps anything, but I did not really know what. And I wanted it to be politically correct and everything. Neutral. But most of all, I think I wanted to have some change from the stress of working on my Master's Thesis. Every post was a break of sorts. Looking back at what I posted, I feel... well, not embarrassed, but unsatisfied. As a friend of mine said in her own blog, no-one wants to hear about that.
As bland, tedious and long-winded texts go, my posts could have been used to put children suffering from hyperactivity disorder to sleep in the evenings. To think they say there is no cure for it.
So here's what's going to happen. I will try another approach, and write what I feel like writing. Consider this a continuity reboot. Older posts will eventually reappear in a new format. I'll probably reuse the old dates, so don't be surprised if posts start appearing from the past. I will probably also insert an actual introduction, something that has been waiting in my drafts folder way too long, at some point in the time line.
Does this mean my blog will now be worth reading? I don't know. Maybe not. It seems probable that after a while, a few years at most, I will look back at what I write now and again wonder what the heck I was thinking. But for now, at least I will know that I write things I want to write rather than some sort of vapid elevator music
accounts that even I find boring.
